Why? Tsunami 2004 HOPE BOOKLET
Minister to Hurting People

Kids 4 Truth is pleased to partner with Gospel Literature Services (www.glsonline.org) in the production of the new Tsunami booklet. GLS will translate this booklet into the languages of all the countries affected by the terrible tidal wave and freely distribute the booklets to national pastors and missionaries in the region. This thoughtful tract, derived from the World Trade Hope tract, asks the common questions about God that people have when they face heartwrenching tragedy. Every question is answered by scripture and a Gospel presentation is given in the end. A peaceful tract to give hope to those moved by the December Tsunami.

Tragedy

On December 26, 2004 the people in the coastal regions along the Indian Ocean were hit by one of the most fatal and devastating tsunamis in history. On that day of tragedy, tens of thousands of people lost their lives, many more lost those they loved, and millions of people were heartbroken by the overwhelming disaster. Do you wonder where God was? Have you asked yourself questions about that terrible day? Why did this happen? What should I do? Where do I turn? Rest assured: you are not alone in asking questions. Even righteous Job, in the midst of severe testing, asked "Why?" Perhaps you are searching for answers to some of these same questions. We are not left to our own thinking and opinions to find out all the answers. We have a reliable source to answer the question Why ã the Bible, God's Word, is sufficient. What does the most important book ever written have to say about why this happened? In this little booklet you will find some of God's answers to the hardest questions. You will see how God desires a personal relationship with you. It is our prayer that you will find strength, comfort, and peace through the Word of God.

Why is this the ultimate Comfort?

This One True God, Who is the Ultimate Comforter, promises us forgiveness of sins, removal of guilt, peace of mind, and eternal life.

Would you like to experience this Ultimate Comfort? In His Word, God lovingly shows you that you must see your helpless condition and turn to Him alone for forgiveness. You must:

* Recognize your sinful, hopeless condition - for all have sinned (Romans 3:23).

* Recognize your absolute need for God to rescue you from your sin - for by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves (Ephesians 2:8-9).

* Understand that the price for sin is death in Hell - for the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23).

* Believe that the Lord Jesus Christ lovingly paid the price for your sin on the Cross - Christ died for us (Romans 5:8).

* Believe that the Lord Jesus Christ rose from the dead - believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead (Romans10:9).

* Turn from your sin. Be willing to forsake all your wrong actions and attitudes - repent ye, and believe the gospel (Mark 1:15).

* Trust Christ alone to save you - I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6). If you desire to trust Christ to save you, give you peace, and restore hope in your life simply ASK HIM. Come in faith believing that He truly is there, that He loves you, and that He is faithful to do that which He promises. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:13).
